Course Objectives The aim of this course is to provide students with knowledge on the general provisions of the Turkish Code of Obligations (n.6098), in light of doctrinal and judicial resources at the short cycle level.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Classify the subjects regulated by and within the Turkish Code of Obligations,
  • Define the elements of “Obligatio”,
  • Compare the sources of Obligatio (i.e. contract, tort and unjust enrichment),
  • Explain the founder elements of contract, tort and unjust enrichment,
  • Discuss the effects and consequences of debts,
  • Discuss the consequences of the termination of debts.
Course Description Turkish Code of Obligations general provisions, contract, tort and unjust enrichment, the effects and consequences of debts, the consequences of the termination of debts.
